Department Highlights

Annual Spring Celebration

In the spring 2024 semester, the department hosted its third annual Spring Celebration in the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center. The department celebrated and recognized the accomplishments of our outstanding alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of Bioengineering!

Commencements

Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 graduates celebrated commencement ceremonies in person! This academic year, we awarded 99 bachelor of science (BS) degrees, 25 master of science (MS) degrees and 10 doctor of philosophy (PhD) degrees in biomedical engineering.

Distinguished Bioengineering Seminar Series

During the 2023-24 academic year, the UT Dallas Bioengineering seminar series featured speakers from across the globe. Students, faculty and staff gained insight into the latest research innovations advancing biomedical engineering and healthcare.

Thursday Talks

In the spring 2024 semester, our department collaborated with faculty to bring you the BE Thursday Talks. This interactive platform was designed to provide a supportive environment for students to refine presentations as well as building communication skills. Students eager to present have the opportunity to work with a dedicated faculty coach, who offers constructive feedback to help enhance their talks, preparing them for conferences.
