The Department of Bioengineering attracts top researchers and instructors. WELCOME NEW FACULTY
Dr. Kristin Miller, Associate Professor
Before joining UT Dallas, Miller was an associate professor of biomedical engineering at Tulane University. Her research interest focuses on the mechanobiology of soft tissues, including evaluating the role of elastic fibers and contractility in the female reproductive system.
Miller received her PhD in bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2018, she was awarded the National Science Foundation’s CAREER award for developing a biomechanical model that can predict how elastic fibers in the soft tissues of the female reproductive system change in response to mechanical pressure. In 2021, Miller was awarded the YC Fung Early Career Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Dr. Levi Good, Assistant Professor of Instruction
Dr. Good completed his PhD in biomedical engineering from Arizona State University in 2007. He holds a BS in electrical engineering with a bioengineering option from the University of Wyoming.
Good has over 10 years of teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has taught biomedical engineering, neurology and neuroscience courses at The University of Texas at Dallas and Louisiana Tech University.
